Spokanite

Brewery Web Application

Spokanite is a nano-brewery in Spokane Washington, that opened in June 2022. All their beer is made in-house using the highest quality hops and malt. I am friends with one of the owners, who knowing I was in school for CS comissioned me to build a website for them.

Tools and Software:

The Problem

The existing web presence failed to capture the essence of the brewery, presenting a significant disconnect between the physical and virtual experiences for users. This project demanded a delicate balance between functionality and aesthetics, ensuring that every user interaction with the web app resonated with the authentic Spokanite experience, fostering a stronger connection between the brewery and its patrons.

Approach

To integrate Spokanite's branding elements, such as color schemes, typography, and logo, into the app's design. This cohesive branding strategy reinforced the brewery's visual identity across all digital touchpoints, creating a harmonious and recognizable experience for users. Leverage interactive elements and microinteractions that reflected the lively and dynamic nature of Spokanite. From subtle animations to interactive buttons, these design elements added a layer of playfulness, enhancing user engagement and creating a memorable digital experience.

Solution

When building the Spokanite Brewing website, my main goal was to make sure it looked good and worked well on any device. So, I paid a lot of attention to how the site responded on both big computer screens and small phone screens. I also wanted the website to feel like Spokanite, so I used their colors, fonts, and logo throughout to keep things consistent. To make it more fun, I added little animations and interactive bits that respond to what users do on the site. These details all come together to give visitors an appealing, easy-to-use website that captures the vibe of hanging out at Spokanite Brewing.
